You always have more antenna gain outside than inside, even more than behind the window pane. In addition, modern houses have windows with thermal insulation glazing, which also represents a considerable obstacle for radio waves.
On the other hand, tenants in particular are not allowed to install anything on the façade.
The solution to this problem is an antenna with a strong suction mount, which is attached to the outside of the window, in conjunction with a window feed-through that brings the antenna cable through the window rebate into the interior of the house. The LTE router is connected there either directly or via an optional extension cable. This MIMO universal high performance directional antenna with very compact dimensions achieves 2 x 8 dBi gain in the 3G and 4G range. In order to achieve the specified gain, the antenna must be mounted with the suction mount on the outside of a window facing the antenna and aligned as precisely as possible with the transmitter - however, even beginners can achieve this by trial and error. Please note that incorrect alignment may result in poorer reception with the aerial than without it.
ATTENTION: The antenna must be secured against falling down if the suction mount should become loose due to weather conditions!
